Flooding On Four Westchester Parkways, I-684 Crash Snarl Evening Commute
This story has been updated. The Tuesday evening commute was a crawl for many in the area after a day filled with showers, heavy rain and flooding. Stretches of four of the most traveled parkways in the area were closed late Tuesday afternoon due to flooding and a crash on northbound I-684 blocked two lanes for about an hour. The I-684 crash was northbound at Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah with stop-and-go delays to Route 172 (Exit 4) through the late afternoon. Flooding Causes Bronx River Parkway Closure

With heavy rains hitting the area, the Westchester County Department of Public Works has been forced to close a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway due to flooding in the area early Tuesday afternoon. The DPW issued an alert stating that the parkway will be closed from the Westchester County Center to the Cross County Parkway. The parkway was closed from the County Center to the Sprain Brook Parkway at 1:30 p.m. before being extended to the Cross County Parkway a short time later.
