Witnesses Sought In Fatal Hudson Valley Crash
Police are asking for any witnesses to a Hudson Valley crash in which a scooter driver was hit and killed by an SUV to come forward.
Rockland County resident Dariel Rivera, of Central Nyack, was killed around 3:50 a.m., Friday, July 14, on Route 303 in West Nyack.
According to Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police, officers found Rivera after police received reports of a person lying in the roadway.
Rivera, who was riding an electric scooter, which was found heavily damaged, had sustained severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Peters said.

An unlicensed man driving drunk is facing a host of charges after crashing into a Hudson Valley home, as an occupant of the residence was able to escape injury, police say.
The Rockland County incident happened around 12:50 a.m. Friday, March 31 in New City, at the residence at 9 Carnaby Ct.
The driver, Jonathan Barnes, age 37, of West Nyack drove his vehicle through two fences, before crashing into the residence, Clarkstown Police Department Detective Norman Peters said.

A pedestrian who was hit and killed crossing a busy Hudson Valley roadway has been identified by police.
Rockland County resident Patrick O'Neill, age 54, was killed around 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, on Route 303 in West Nyack.
According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police, O'Neill was found lying on the right shoulder of northbound Rt. 303, Peters said.

ID Released For Woman Killed In Palisades Center Mall Two-Vehicle Crash
A woman who was killed during a two-vehicle crash at the Palisades Center mall has been identified.
Diane E Brothers, 66, of Fredricksburg, Virginia, was killed around 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, on Palisades Center Drive at the mall in West Nyack, said Clarkstown Police Department spokesman Officer Norman Peters.
The cause of death is undetermined at this time, Peters said.
Additional details regarding the crash were not released.
The fatal crash closed several roadways, in addition to the BJ's store to allow for an investigation.
