Saw Mill River Parkway Stretch Reopens After Serious Crash A stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened after a serious motor-vehicle crash caused its closure on Friday afternoon. The crash, reported around 4 p.m., occurred northbound in New Castle. The roadway reopened at around 5:30 p.m. Gridlock was also reported on side streets, including Route 117, as motorists took alternate routes while the roadway was closed during the busy evening commute.
