19: New Outbreak Reported At Marist College, Two Dorms Quarantined
Two Marist dormitories have been placed under quarantine after more students tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total of students who have contracted the virus since the fall semester began to 80, more than any other college campus in Dutchess County. Marist College has informed students that a campus-wide pause of in-person classes, visitation from those not living on-campus and activities, after nine active COVID cases linked to an illicit off-campus party multiplied to 29, according to the Marist College COVID Dashboard and student reporting from the Marist Circle. Multiple COVID-19 cases contracted at an off-campus party led Marist College to suspend in-person classes and on-campus activities, according to the institution.
