The incident happened on Friday, March 8, when an adult male bicyclist was struck by a vehicle driven by a woman at the intersection of North Avenue and Huguenot Street, according to New Rochelle Police. Authorities are searching for a man who forcefully stole a cell phone from a victim during a robbery in Westchester. The incident happened on Sunday, Feb. 11 around 3:45 a.m. in the area of Huguenot Street and Centre Avenue in New Rochelle, according to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Collins Coyne. A stolen rental car went from Florida all the way to Westchester County before two local men were busted by police, authorities said. Police in New Rochelle received a call from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Miami at around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, informing them that one of the company’s stolen vehicles was believed to be in the area. An alternative high school in Westchester will have a new home that will accommodate more students in a larger space thanks to a deal with an area college. A grisly scene played out at a Westchester park when the lifeless body of a dead man was found near a local library. Early on Tuesday, Sept. 14, a 37-year-old homeless man, whose name has not been released, was found unresponsive in Ruby Dee Park in New Rochelle, reportedly near the entrance on Huguenot Street.
