Two people, including a Fairfield County resident, face charges after they were caught with heroin, cocaine, and prescription medication in the Hudson Valley during a suspected drug deal, police said.
The arrests resulted from an incident in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 17 just before 10:30 p.m., when a caller told the Putnam County Sheriff's Office that drugs were possibly being sold from a car within the village of Brewster.

A 20-year-old Westchester man was nabbed for possession of marijuana and other charges after being stopped for driving without headlights in Fairfield County.
Maxwell Tafolla, of Port Chester, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 2, by Greenwich Police after being stopped around 9:30 p.m., for driving without headlights on West Putnam Avenue, said the Greenwich Police.

Arrest Made In Connection With Death Of Brewster Man At Danbury Condo
Police have arrested a friend of a man shot to death at the Sterling Woods Condominium Complex in Danbury.
David Ramos, 33, of Danbury, was arrested early Wednesday, Sept. 11, in connection with the Wednesday, Sept. 4, shooting death of Jason James Lowry Hoffman, 33, of Brewster, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
During the course of the investigation, detectives developed sufficient information through interviews and evidence collection linking Ramos to Hoffman’s death, he said.

A traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway led to weapon and drug charges for a 26-year-old man, police say.
New York State Police say they initiated a traffic stop on a 2001 Honda Civic after observing a violation on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Milan on Friday, June 28 around 4 p.m.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Jose Bermudez, 26, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, was in possession of a Beretta Pico .380 auto handgun, approximately 1.2 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police say.

A 23-year-old Northern Westchester woman who was stopped for speeding in Fairfield County ended up in handcuffs after a police K-9 allegedly found cocaine in her vehicle.
Ariana Muriqi, of Yorktown Heights, was arrested around 10:35 a.m., Sunday, June 16, after being stopped for traveling 57 mph in a 40 mph zone on Danbury Road at Westport Road, said the Wilton Police Department.

Two men were busted by New York State Police troopers with 10 pounds of marijuana and more than $3,500 in cash after running out of gas on I-87 in the Hudson Valley.
Troopers stopped to assist New Haven, Conn. residents Rojay Kidd, 24 and Jason Blair, 27, shortly after 2:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon, after spotting them on the side of the interstate in Clarkstown.
