5 Men Stole 56 Catalytic Converters In 5 Months Across Westchester County: DA
Five men are charged with stealing more than $50,000 in catalytic converters from buses and vans across five months in Westchester County, officials said.
The indictments came after a year-long investigation into the thefts by 13 police departments in the county, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Briarcliff Native Who Was All-America Collegiate Athlete Dies At Age 48
A Northern Westchester native who was a standout athlete in both high school and college has died.
Alison Relyea, who grew up in Briarcliff and graduated in 1992 from the Hackley School in Tarrytown, was 48 years old, according to her obituary.
She died on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Evelyn’s House hospice facility in Creve Coeur, Missouri. For the past 11 years, she lived in Chesterfield, Missouri, her obituary said.
She graduated from Gettysburg College in 1996 and the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she received her BSN degree, in 1998.

Thousands of Westchester and Putnam residents lost power after storms brought heavy rain and strong wind to the region overnight.
As of 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, Con Edison is responding to 161 reported outages, which were impacting 3,199 of its 348,198 customers in Westchester. NYSEG is dealing with 2,271 of its 32,806 customers who were without power.
In Putnam County, 2,709 of NYSEG’s 38,310 customers were still left in the dark, while Central Hudson was responding to outages impacting 266 of their 5,153 customers in the county.
