WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y.-- Valerie Musmeci died Saturday, Dec. 19. She was 69.
Musmeci was born June 26, 1946, in Mount Vernon. She worked for Chase Media Group in Wappingers Falls. She was a crossword puzzle enthusiast.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Musmeci; her son, Louis Musmeci and his wife, Candace of Myrtle Beach, S. C., her daughter, Kelly Musmeci of Poughkeepsie, her granddaughters, Summer and Brooke Musmeci and Jordyn Herder, her brother-in-law, Charles Musmeci, and her sister-in-law, Josephine Musmeci.

Lewis Leslie, 100, Former Cortlandt Resident
CORTLANDT, N.Y.-- Lewis Leslie died Dec. 7. He was 100.
Leslie was born in Brooklyn in 1915. He graduated from Columbia University with a Masters in Chemistry. He started as a chemist for Standard Coated Products in Buchanan in 1939, and continued to work there for 40 years. He was active in the religious community.

Charles Araneo, 62, Nyack Resident
NYACK, N.Y.-- Charles Araneo died Dec. 5. He was 62.
Araneo was born Dec. 31, 1952, in Teaneck, N.J. He was a lifelong resident of Rockland County and lived for many years in Nyack. He attended Clarkstown North High School and continued his studies at Rockland Community College.
Araneo was an accomplished musician on a number of instruments but favored drums and guitars.
His mother, Ann, died in 1981.
He is survived by his father, Michael, his friend Marilyn K. both of New City, his brother, Michael and wife, Maryann of Pomona, and sister Mary of Congers.

Katherine B. Ogden, 95, Of Nyack
NYACK, N.Y.-- Katherine B. Ogden died Dec. 8. She was 95.
Ogden was born in Nyack. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1942 and she worked in the laboratory at Nyack Hospital until her retirement.
Ogden was active in her lifelong church, First Reformed Church of Nyack, in the Women's Guild, and enjoyed her favorite activity, singing in the choir. She was a Red Cross volunteer.
She is predeceased by her husband Herbert S. Ogden, and her son Herbert V. Jr.

John Emil Pucek, 69, New Hamburg Resident
NEW HAMBURG, N.Y. -- John Emil Pucek of New Hamburg died Thursday, Dec. 10. He was 69.
Pucek was born Dec. 18, 1945, in New York City and graduated from Roy C. Kethcham High School in 1964. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Seabees and served from 1967-70, which included a tour in Vietnam.
He was a life member of the New Hamburg Yacht Club, the Elks Lodge in Wappingers Falls, American Legion Post 1302 and the Mobile Construction Battalion 12. He was also an avid Giants fan.
