Research Shows Dinosaurs May Have Mumbled, Not Roared
A new report suggests that dinosaurs never emitted the loud, frightening roar so many believe they did, but instead, may have mumbled with their mouths closed, according to Futurity.
Research published in the journal “Evolution” looks at how some birds make sound through closed-mouth vocalization, which are sounds produced through the skin around the neck when the beak remains closed, such as the coo of a dove, reports Futurity.

James O'Neill, Co-Founder Of 9/11 Memorial In Carmel, Dies At 59
EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. – James J. O’Neill, of East Fishkill, died suddenly on Sunday, July 17. He was 59.
Born March 28, 1957, and raised in the Bronx, he was a graduate of Visitation School and Cardinal Hayes High School. He joined the N.Y. Police Department on Nov. 17, 1979, and rose to the rank of sergeant supervisor, detective squad, before retiring on Nov. 30, 1999. He was a member of Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s protective detail until retiring in 2000.

ORADELL, N.J. – Rose M. (Vastano) Viscardi, of Oradell, died Saturday, July 16. She was 101.
Born and raised in Cliffside Park, she lived in Fort Lee before moving to Oradell. She was an active member of Madonna Parish and volunteered in many organizations.
She was proud of her Italian heritage and loved to cook, crochet and most of all, spend time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Maria; grandchildren, Catherine Savery, Thomas Viscardi, and David Viscardi; and great-grandchildren, Robert, Violette, James, Adam and Drew; and brother, Domenick Vastano.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Grace E. Steriti, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, July 16, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 91.
She was born in the Bronx on Sept. 16, 1924, to Joseph and Rose Kalister.
She was employed for over 25 years at the former Grand Union in Wappingers Falls. She loved traveling and playing dominoes with her friends.
