OSSINING, N.Y. -- A stretch of Route 9 in Ossining has reopened after being closed for more than five hours following an investigation after a serious two-car accident.
The closure, reported at 7:30 a.m., is between James Street and Emwilton Place.
A taxi and a Ford Focus collided with the taxi ending up on the sidewalk with its rear door and wheel smashed in, according to lohud. The Focus rolled over several times, the report said.
The drivers were taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, according to lohud.
Ossining Police declined to provide further information saying the incident was still under investigation.
