New Update: 2 Killed In Head-On Crash In Area This story has been updated. Two people were killed and five others were hospitalized in a head-on crash on a busy Hudson Valley roadway. It happened around 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in Orange County on Route 32 near Falls Lane in the town of Woodbury and involved a 2014 Freightliner box truck and a 2012 Ford Econoline van, according to state police. Juvenile Charged For Bomb Threat At School In Area, Police Say A juvenile has been arrested for allegedly making a series of phone calls threatening violence at an area school. The incident took place on Monday, Jan. 10, when the New York State Police along with other police agencies, responded to the SS Seward Institute High School in Orange County in the village of Florida. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, the school had received a series of phone calls suggesting there was a threat of violence at the school. Man Who Fled From State Police Busted With Two Kilos Of Cocaine, Police Say A 35-year-old man was arrested after fleeing from New York State Police during a traffic stop and when caught, allegedly was in possession of two kilos of cocaine. Sherland W. Simpson, of Newburgh, was arrested around 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, following a traffic stop in the town of Woodbury, said Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, Simpson was arrested after a trooper from the Monroe barracks stopped a 2003 BMW with Connecticut plates traveling on State Route 32 in the town of Woodbury for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  When stopped, Simpson fled the traffic stop, Neve…
