You could almost hear the sound of hearts breaking as word spread that "Mr. Chris," a popular children's performer at libraries throughout North Jersey and Rockland County, had died suddenly. Disney fans have lost their next-to-last shopping stop for all things Mickey in the Hudson Valley with the closure of the county's one remaining Disney Store. A Rockland County native beat his 4-week-old son, leaving him with serious injuries, authorities charged. CityMD has changed its messaging after telling 15,000 New York and New Jersey patients who tested positive for coronavirus antibodies that they were immune to the virus. Wayne Man Who Brought Dead Dog To Animal Hospital Charged With Cruelty
A Wayne man who brought a dead dog to an animal hospital was arrested Tuesday on cruelty charges, authorities announced. Wayne police responding to Knox Terrace on May 31 were told that Craig J. Lam, 37, took the dog to the Fairfield Animal Emergency Hospital. The officers “were advised by the staff of the Fairfield Animal Emergency Hospital that the dog had arrived deceased,” Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. A man who allegedly pushed his way past a homeowner and broke into a Pearl River residence has been charged with burglary, police say. A 29-year-old Fort Myers, Fla. police officer with roots in Wayne is in critical but stable condition after being shot in the head while responding to a call of a gunman at a gas station. The Wayne Paris Inn was auctioned off Wednesday to one of seven different bidders for $990,000, real estate officials said. Eric D. Berninger of Wayne died Sunday, April 22. He was 13 years old. Eric was born in Ridgewood and lived in Wayne. He a student at the Horizon School in Livingston and loved the beach, books and Mickey Mouse. He is survived by his mom Juliet (nee) Passero and dad David Berninger; siblings Nicholas, Luke and Deanna; grandparents the Honorable Robert Passero and his wife Phyllis, and Lucina Berninger; great-grandmother Joan Ferro; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Toys 'R' Us May Close Another 200 Stores, Report Says
Less than a month after announcing it planned to close 182 outlets, another 200 Toys 'R' Us stores may also be closing, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal on Thursday. The total of near 400 closures would be 45 percent of the toy retailer's total number of stores.
