Sullivan County resident William T. Staesser, age 28, of Woodbourne, was arrested for the first time on Sunday, Jan. 30, and again on Wednesday, Feb. 2, by the Monticello Police. According to Lt. New York Parolee Nabbed In Stolen Car In Area, Police Say A New York man out on parole was busted for allegedly stealing a 2018 Chrysler 300 and "rifling" through other vehicles in the area.  Broome County resident Michael J. Mackawgy, age 24, of Binghamton, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 22 around 11:15 p.m. by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office after deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. One Person Injured During Shooting In Area, Police Say Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in the area. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m., Monday, Aug. 9, in Sullivan County at the intersection of Liberty Street and Cottage Street in the area of John Crawford Senior Housing in the Village of Monticello. 25-Year-Old Steals Tools Valued At $1,100 From House Under Construction, Police Say A 25-year-old man is behind bars after police say he stole tools valued at $1,100 at a home in the Hudson Valley and then attempted to kick the window of a police cruiser when he was arrested. The arrest comes after an investigation into the burglary of a residence which is currently under renovation in the Village of Monticello.
