Police Cruiser Hits Woman In Hudson Valley A police cruiser accidentally hit a woman in Westchester County, police said.  On Wednesday evening, Nov. 30, police in Yonkers were on their way to back up other officers calling for help when one of their police cars struck the woman at the intersection of Ashburton Avenue and Palisade Avenue, according to Yonkers Police Department Detective Lt. Two Shot In Broad Daylight During Dispute In Westchester Two people were wounded during a shooting in Westchester. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21 in Yonkers. One suspect and another man were standing on Palisade Avenue and having words with a group of people, said Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos of the Yonkers Police. At some point during the argument, two people were shot, both victims received non-life-threatening injuries, Politopoulos said. The shooting is currently under investigation, he added. Police in Yonkers are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a wanted woman who allegedly assaulted another in the city. The Yonkers Police Department issued an alert on Thursday afternoon regarding 21-year-old Dymonde Cruz, who is wanted by law enforcement for a second-degree assault charge stemming back to an incident earlier this year. Police described Cruz as a 5-foot-7 Hispanic female weighing an estimated 170 pounds with brown eyes and light brown hair. She was last seen around Palisade Avenue.
