New update - Suspect In Murder Of Hudson Valley Woman Fatally Shoots Himself In Front Of Cops In Connecticut The incident took place in Rockland County around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 on Inwood Dr., in the Hillcrest section of the Town of Ramapo.  One person was removed from the scene by ambulance and was transported to the hospital, the Ramapo Police said. Hit-Run Crash: Man Charged After Woman Struck, Killed In Rockland County A Hudson Valley man has been charged in the death of a woman who was hit and killed by a car. Rockland County resident Bryan Castillo-Solorzano, age 26, of Spring Valley, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash that resulted in death, said Lt. Michael Gannon of the Ramapo Police.  The crash took place on Saturday, Feb. 11 on Hempstead Lane in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo, Gannon said. Man Accused Of Firing Gun Inside Home In Rockland A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly firing shots at his home. The incident took place in Rockland County in the Hillcrest area of Ramapo on Greenridge Way on Monday, Dec. 19. Responding units from the Ramapo Police were directed towards a specific home where the gunshots were believed to be coming from, the department said on Facebook. An investigation found that the 48-year-old Hillcrest man who lived at the home had allegedly fired the shots, police said. Man Injured In Deck Collapse At Rockland Home, Police Say One person has been injured after a second-story deck collapsed in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Rockland County at a residential home in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo.   One 58-year-old victim was transported to the hospital by Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps & Rockland Paramedic Services, Ramapo Police said. Woman Attempts To Elude Cops By Driving On Lawns Of Rockland Homes, Police Say A woman took police on a slow-speed chase that ended when they say she hit a tree. The incident took place in Rockland County Friday, Feb. 28, when an officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver would not comply, said the Ramapo Police Department. The woman, who refused to stop, attempted to elude officers by driving across lawns in the area before hitting a tree in the area of Rockland Lane and Alexander Avenue in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo, police said. The unidentified woman was arrested.
