Good Samaritans Rescue Woman Run Over By Vehicle Outside Hudson Valley Convenience Store
The quick actions of two Good Samaritans are credited with rescuing a woman who was run over by a vehicle outside a convenience store in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Dutchess County on Friday, Feb. 10 at approximately 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Extra Mart located at 2 West Market St. in the village of Red Hook. Mayor, Good Samaritans Help Residents Escape From A Smoke-Filled Home In Area
A local mayor and good Samaritans helped evacuate residents from a Hudson Valley home after they failed to react to a fire alarm. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 23 in the city of Poughkeepsie. Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison was on his way to a church service when driving on Delafield Street he hear a loud fire alarm and smoke coming from the second floor of a home. Man Stabbed Multiple Times By Woman Near Area Bakery, Police Say
A 39-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man multiple times during a fight at her home. Kimberly Roberts, of Lake Katrine in Ulster County, was arrested at 9:40 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, after the Ulster Police Department responded to a 911 call for a stabbing victim at the Bread Alone Bakery in Ulster, police said. When officers responded to the bakery they found a 39-year-old Saugerties man had been stabbed several times allegedly by Roberts at her nearby home, Ulster Police said. Dog That Ran Off During Fireworks Reunited With New City Owner
Reunited, and it feels so good. A dog that got spooked by the Fourth of July fireworks in New City and ran off has been reunited with his family after a little help from Clarkstown police officers and some Good Samaritans. Mallard, 10 Ducklings Rescued From Rockland County Shopping Center
Oh, quack. A mallard duck and her 10 little ducklings almost got squished Wednesday when they took refuge under a car in the parking lot of a local shopping center. But no worries, the Ramapo Police Department, along with the city's animal control officer, and a couple Good Samaritans quickly came to the rescue and were able, with quite a bit of effort, to rescue all the ducks. Once captured and put in a box, the family was relocated to a nearby stream out of harm's way.
