Daytime Lane Closures Scheduled On I-87 Near Tappan Zee Bridge For Days There will be daytime lane closures for several days on the Rockland-bound New York State Thruway next week as contracting crews continue work in the area. Tappan Zee Constructors announced that they will continue roadway improvements near the new Tappan Zee Bridge, which will require single-lane closures on I-87/I-287. Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, there will be one left northbound lane closed from exit 8 to exit 10.
