Michael Denardo, 39, will have to repay nearly $240,000 back to the district. Denardo used blank checks from the treasurer, had another board member sign them, then deposited them into his wife's bank account and subsequently submitted fake bills to the district, reported Time Warner Cable News.
He pleaded guilty to the charges of grand larceny and criminal tax fraud in September, said Time Warner Cable News.
