Trial Of Kingston Dentist Charged In 2011 Death Gets Under Way

KINGSTON, N.Y. -- The trial of a Kingston dentist accused of killing his alleged lover’s husband got under way in Ulster County on Wednesday, according to a report by Time Warner Cable News.

Gilberto Nunez, 48, was charged with second-degree murder in the 2011 death of Thomas Kolman, 44, of Saugerties, according to multiple media reports.

According to a report by The Times Herald-Record, Kolman was poisoned with a sedative and possibly strangled.

His body was found in a car in the parking lot of a gym in the Town of Ulster, The Times Herald-Record story said.

Jurors have been selected and opening statements were expected to be made Wednesday afternoon, the Time Warner Cable News story said.
