The identity has been released of a man who was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened on the railroad's Harlem Line in Dutchess County at around 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Appalachian Trail station in Pawling, according to the MTA. A man was apprehended after police say he violently assaulted his own brother at a residence in the region. On Thursday, April 18, a man walked into the Beacon Police Department station with multiple injuries to his head, according to authorities. The man told officers that his brother struck him in the head with a handgun and stabbed him, according to the Beacon PD. Ground beef products distributed nationwide may be contaminated with E. coli and should not be consumed, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. For about a week, construction work will close parts of a parkway in the Hudson Valley, causing closures and reductions in multiple areas.
