This University In Westchester Ranks Among Top 10 Public Colleges In US, New Report Says
A college in Westchester is near the top of its class, according to a new report ranking the best public schools in the country.
The State University of New York at Purchase, more commonly known as Purchase College or SUNY Purchase, has earned the No. 9 spot on the 2024 Top Public Schools Rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

Jennifer Lopez is back at it -- acting -- that is, and she's returned to Westchester to shoot scenes for her latest movie.
The Bronx-raised star, who of course is engaged to ARod, is filming scenes for her new film, "Marry Me," at Purchase College, all day Monday, Oct. 21, according to OnLocationVacation.com.

Matthew Ward Of Rye, Student At Purchase College, Dies At 21
Purchase College student Matthew Michael Ward of Rye died Friday, May 31. He was 21.
He was the son of Michael and Vivian Ward and is also survived by sisters, Marguerite, Miriam, Mary-Kathryn, and Meredith.
According to his obituary, he was the happiest young man who loved making everyone laugh, gifted with many talents including making music, jamming with his friends, and playing timpani at St. Augustine's Church on major feast days with his father who is the longtime music director there.
Ward was pursuing a degree in communications.
