An 18-year-old will spend almost two decades in prison for fatally shooting a 16-year-old victim with an untraceable ghost gun in Westchester, officials announced.
New Rochelle resident Tommy Rivera, age 18, was sentenced to 19 years in prison for fatally shooting 16-year-old Julian Oliveros in New Rochelle in January 2022, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Man Nabbed For Possessing Several Firearms, Ghost Gun In New Rochelle: Police
A 58-year-old Westchester man faces charges for illegally possessing numerous firearms, including a ghost gun, police said.
New Rochelle resident Paul Pisani, age 58, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 21 following an investigation conducted by New Rochelle Police, the Westchester County Police Conditions Unit, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, according to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Collins Coyne.
According to Coyne, Pisani had been in possession of several handguns, including one without a serial number known as a ghost gun.

An NYPD officer and two co-conspirators, all from Long Island, are facing charges for their alleged roles in a drug trafficking scheme, authorities announced.
Officer Joseph Recca, 28, of West Islip, and two others were arraigned on Wednesday, July 22, Suffolk County officials said. They were arrested the day prior during a traffic stop.
