Covid-19: Nordstrom Permanently Closing 16 Stores Nordstrom has announced it plans to close 16 of its luxury department stores as it makes adjustments to its business model amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The company is also planning phased reopenings of its other 100 stores. Nordstrom did not list what locations are closing but said it will start contacting employees who are affected. Covid-19: Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom To Close All Stores Three of the nation's largest retailers -- Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom -- will be closing their stores temporarily due to the spread of the novel strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Macy's said it would close all stores, including Bloomingdale's locations, at the end of the business day on Tuesday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 31.
