8 Suspected 'Tourist Burglars' Targeting Westchester, Fairfield Counties In Custody, Police Say Eight alleged residential burglars known as "tourist burglars," who work for out-of-country crews have been nabbed for crimes committed in the region.  The bust in Fairfield County comes after months of investigating and working with the FBI, and law enforcement departments across the region. Westchester Teen Among Trio Nabbed After Allegedly Crashing Stolen SUV Into Police Cruiser Two men and a teenager from Westchester were apprehended during separate foot chases when the stolen luxury SUV they were in intentionally crashed into a police car, authorities said. The arrests came in Queens after an investigation was launched on Long Island Thursday, April 9 when a 2019 Land Rover was stolen from a residence located at The Roslyn Intervale estates, Nassau County Police said.
