For the second straight year, a Good Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, made sure customers at TP Toys and Accessories, at 572 North Avenue, had a Merry Christmas by paying off the layaway for 13 families.

After paying off the layaway, he donated several hundred dollars to the store to help families that couldn't afford to buy toys.

Kemesha Salmon, who runs TP Toys, said she did not want to disclose how much he donated, but said it was substantial. She said his donation has meant everything to these families.

"Some of the families were crying when we told them," Salmon said. "This has made such a difference in their lives."

Salmon has run the toy store for over two years and said she has really enjoyed serving the New Rochelle community.

"I love my customers," Salmon said. "This is the best job ever."

When she initially got the man's email, she was in shock. Salmon was even more surprised when he came back a year later. She said she appreciates that he decided to help a local store.

"This has helped restore my faith in humanity," Salmon said. "It's very reassuring. There are still good people around. This couldn't have come at a better time. I want to thank him for being so selfless, I hope he gets it back tenfold."
