The competition, which is part of BEST Inc.’s Third Annual Open Robotic Tournament, will be Saturday, Feb. 27. From 8 a.m.–3 p.m. are Practice Rounds/Skills Challenges; and from 4-6 p.m. are Qualifying Rounds/Finals.
Approximately 16 plus teams will come together for a day of competition where they will battle against each other with robots created from VEX EDR.
Competing students include those from The Harvey School in Katonah; BEST, INC. in New Rochelle; St. Catharine Academy in the Bronx; and Thomas Edison High School in Jamaica.
BEST, Inc.’s Third Annual Robotic Tournament is one in a series of tournaments supported by the REC Foundation and various national, regional and local sponsors.
The competition season culminates each spring, with the top performing teams from local and state VEX Robotics Competitions competing against each other at VEX Worlds.
At VEX Worlds, these teams will have the opportunity to challenge their top-ranked peers from over 30 countries around the world, including Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
