A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened after a serious crash.
The closure, reported around 3 p.m. Friday, April 30, was eastbound in Suffolk County between Route 231 (Exit 51) and Commack Road (Exit 52), with stopped traffic and the scene and gridlock to Bagatelle Road (Exit 50).
