Man Admits Driving Drunk, Killing Trio Leaving Party In New Hyde Park A Long Island man has pleaded guilty to his role in a crash that killed three people and injured three others, all of the same family. Twenty-three-year-old Dante Lennon of Freeport entered his plea on Tuesday, March 5 for the May 2022 crash, the Nassau County District Attorney announced. According to his plea, Lennon was driving his Mercedes Benz drunk on the night of May 21, 2022, speeding down Jericho Turnpike at nearly twice the 35-mile-per-hour speed limit. ID Released For Queens Woman Struck, Killed By Train In Westchester Metro-North officials have identified the woman struck by a New Haven Line train in Westchester. Aurelia Franchitti, age 21, of Woodside, in Queens, was fatally struck after stepping in front of an eastbound train at Rye Station around 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, officials said.  Earlier report: Person Killed After Stepping In Front Of Train In Rye The MTA Police are investigating the incident.  Officials said at this early stage in the investigation, the incident does not appear criminal or accidental in nature.
