Man Wanted For Stealing Pickup Truck From Long Island Car Wash, Authorities Say Authorities asked the public for help locating a man who is wanted for stealing a pickup truck that was parked outside of a car wash on Long Island. A man stole a 2007 Dodge Ram outside of Turnpike Car Wash in Huntington Station at about 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Thursday, Nov. 17. Crime Stoppers said the vehicle was left running and unattended while being serviced. Man Accused Of Setting Fire To Long Island Hotel A man has been charged with arson after police say he set fire to a Long Island hotel.  Suffolk County Police say Raymond Pond, 50, started the fire inside the Rodeway Inn in Huntington Station, located at 270 West Jericho Turnpike, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4. Second Precinct officers responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.  Several people were on the premises at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. Police say a person broke a window of a 2018 Subaru in the parking lot of Planet Fitness (305 W. Jericho Turnpike) and stole a purse containing credit cards on Tuesday, July 23.
