Alert Issued For Missing Elmont Man
A 67-year-old vulnerable man has gone missing. Nassau County Police Missing Persons Squad is investigating the whereabouts of the man they say has been missing since Friday, Sept. 20 at 5 a.m. in Elmont. The disappearance was reported to police the same day at 11:31 p.m. According to detectives, Victor Achuba, 67, suffers from a cognitive disorder and is in need of medication. He was last seen leaving his Elmont residence, said police. Achuba is described as being 5-foot-7, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
