Long Island Man Charged With DWI After Chain Reaction, Three-Vehicle Crash
Three people were hospitalized when an allegedly intoxicated man was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Long Island, police said. Selden resident Thomas Macy was driving a 2019 Ford van southbound on Deer Park Road near the intersection of East Deer Park Road in Dix Hills shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, when he rear-ended an SUV, Suffolk County Police said. The SUV then struck a four-door sedan. Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said that Macy’s van became fully engulfed in flames.
