Police Officer Dies In Upstate NY Snowmobile Crash A police officer from the Hudson Valley died in an off-duty snowmobile crash in upstate New York. Orange County resident Daniel "DJ" Romano, of Newburgh, died on Friday, Jan. 38, after the snowmobile he was riding crashed into a tree in the Herkimer County town of Webb, according to WKTV. Roosevelt Teenager Sentenced For Attempted Murder At House Party A Long Island teenager will spend two decades behind bars after being convicted of attempted murder following a shooting outside a house party in Uniondale in 2017. Roosevelt resident Ahkhazyah Wright, 19, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of attempted murder, two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon in June, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas announced.
