19: Cuomo Announces Decision On Super Bowl Curfew Extension Request By Restaurant/Bars
With the Super Bowl set to be played this weekend, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is encouraging New Yorkers to celebrate the big game, but to do so safely at home while the state contends with the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite pleas from restaurant and bar owners to lift the state’s 10 p.m. curfew, Cuomo announced on Friday, Feb. 5 that there would be no exception for the big game on Sunday, Feb. 7.
