3 Occupants Evacuated From Burning Residential Building On Long Island Three occupants of a Long Island residential building were evacuated after a blaze broke out early in the morning. Two Teen Jet Skiers Rescued In Oceanside Two jet skiers were rescued by a quick-moving team of emergency responders on Long Island. At 7: 17 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, a report came in of two teenage boys stranded in the marsh area on their jet skis near Parsonage Cove in Oceanside, according to Nassau County Police. One of the teens, 17, was close to the shore and assisted by a civilian prior to police arrival.
