LI Man Nabbed In Massapequa Park In Connection With Fatal Overdose A Long Island man charged in connection with a fatal overdose attempted to escape capture by ramming police vehicles and injuring an officer. West Babylon resident Javonne Mimms, age 30, was arrested in Lindenhurst on Wednesday, May 18 in connection with the Sunday, April 10 fatal overdose in Merrick. Elvis Lazo, 29, was driving a 1999 GMC in Lindenhurst westbound on Hoffman Avenue, between New York Avenue and Albany Avenue, when his vehicle crashed into a westbound 1989 Harley Davidson that was attempting to make a U-turn on Hoffman Avenue at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, July 18, Suffolk County Police said.
