Long Island Woman, 20, Charged With DWI After Hitting Bicyclist, Police Say A 20-year-old Long Island woman was charged with DWI after she allegedly left the roadway and struck a bicyclist before crashing on Easter Day. Alexis Hubbard, of Greenport, was arrested around 2 p.m., Sunday, April 4,  at the scene of the crash on Route 48 near Albertson Lane, in Southhold, said the Southhold Police. Long Island Man, 22, Seriously Injured When Mercedes Crashes Into Two Pseg Poles, Police Say A Long Island man was seriously injured his Mercedes crashed into two poles. Liam Tomin, 22, of Southold, was injured around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, during the crash on Route 25 in Southold, said the Southold Police. According to police, Tomin was driving the 2004 Mercedes-Benz eastbound in the area of 64755 Route 25 when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with two PSEG poles. Body Recovered After Rowboat Overturns Off Long Island Coast The body of a victim has been recovered after a rowboat overturned on the Long Island Sound. The incident happened around 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 on Long Island's North Fork in Suffolk County off Route 48 in the village of Greenport, when the 9-foot long rowboat was in the area of the Cliff Side condominiums, Southold Town Police said. There were two people reported onboard, according to police. One person swam to shore and the other was unaccounted for, said police.
