Body Of LI Man Who Fell Off Boat In Great South Bay Found The body of an East Islip man who had fallen overboard from his 34-foot Fountain boat has been found. Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of Samuel Gutierrez, 47, whose body was found floating in the Great South Bay, just south of Timber Point, said the Suffolk County Police. The department received word of a body floating from a 911 caller around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, police said. Gutierrez fell overboard without a life jacket around 11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.
