A couple formally confessed to their roles in the fatal stabbing of a man on a Long Island walking and biking trail.
Jose Martinez-Vazquez, age 25, of Port Jefferson Station, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, July 25, in the death of Benjamin Flores-Mendez.
It came months after his girlfriend, Tiffany Diaz-Cabrera, age 21, of Port Jefferson Station, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the same case.

Duo Nabbed In Fatal Stabbing Of Man On Long Island Trail
Police have arrested two suspects in the fatal stabbing of a man found on a Long Island walking and biking trail.
Jose Martinez-Vazquez, age 24, and Tiffany Diaz-Cabrera, age 20, both of Port Jefferson Station, were arrested Sunday, March 5, for second-degree murder in the death of Benjamin Flores-Mendez, according to Suffolk County Police.
