Authorities Seek Info After Dog Stolen From Long Island Home Authorities have asked the public for help locating a woman wanted for questioning after a dog was stolen from a Long Island home. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said the French Bulldog was stolen during a burglary at a home in Bay Shore between Saturday, Nov. 27, and Sunday, Nov. 28. That Sunday, a woman dropped the dog off at Animal Emergency Service, located at 280 Middle Country Road in Selden, Crime Stoppers said.  The woman provided false contact information, authorities said.  The dog has since been returned to the owner. Suffolk County Police officers responded to a Manorville business at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, where there was a report of dogs left outside. Suffolk County Police said that when the officers arrived at the non-residential area on Toppings Path near County Road 111, they found six unattended dogs, two on chains and four in cages, without access to proper shelter. Police Rescue Malnourished Kitten Caught In Storm Drain On Long Island A pair of quick-thinking Suffolk County Police officers made a special save, helping rescue a struggling kitten stuck in a Port Jefferson Station storm drain. Officers Joanna Westrack and Daniel Paiva responded to a 911 call on Saturday, Aug. 3, where there was a report of a trapped kitten on Ontario Street. Upon arrival, the officers found the tabby kitten all the way at the bottom of the drain. The resourceful officers used a rope, made a loop, and managed to get the kitten to step into it with his upper body. They then pulled the kitten out of the drain safely without further incident. …
