Teen Dies In After-School Stabbing During Brawl At Oceanside Strip Mall

A teenager has died after being stabbed when an after-school brawl broke out at a strip mall on Long Island.

It happened at around 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16 in Oceanside, Nassau County Police said.

Fourth Precinct officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 2830 Brower Ave. for a large fight. 

Upon arrival, officers came upon a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the chest area and a second victim, a 17-year-old boy, who suffered a broken arm and swelling to his head. 

Both were taken to an area hospital for treatment. 

The stabbing victim, identified as Khaseem Morris, was hospitalized in critical condition and died from the injuries overnight.

The investigation into the incident is continuing, police say.
