A Long Island 7-Eleven store was reportedly robbed by a man with a large knife, according to multiple sources.

The incident took place around 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the store located at 358 Mooney Pond Road, in Farmingville, said the Suffolk County Police.

According to Long Island News12, the robbery reportedly occurred when the man entered the store with a large butcher knife and demanded cash.

Detectives did not confirm the use of a knife.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
