This Merrick Eatery Voted Long Island's Best Seafood Restaurant

For the third year in a row, a popular eatery was voted the best seafood restaurant on Long Island.

Bethpage Best of Long Island announced that Anchor Down Seafood Bar and Grill in Nassau County was voted the best seafood restaurant by residents in 2022.

The restaurant, located at 1960 Bayberry Ave. in Merrick, has been serving guests on Long Island since 2014.

The Anchor Down menu features "casual bites" such as fish and chips, along with main courses of pan-seared sea scallops, horseradish crusted organic Scottish salmon, and jumbo lump crab cakes.

"Absolutely divine!!! From salad to entree to service," Audra B., of Seaford, said in a Yelp review. "Will be back to enjoy the bisque, seafood and unique side dishes."
