There is no doubt Nassau County has some of the best delis around.

Here are five to drop by:

Lynbrook Deli & Catering, 439 Merrick Road, Lynbrook: Homemade food, specialty sandwiches, wraps, salads and plenty of catering customers are hallmarks here where employees are among the friendliest around, according to reviews on social media.

Daily Voice asked the owner about the good reviews.

"We've been doing this a long time, 26 years. We have a fantastic attitude towards everyone. All our employees do," said Ronald Anderson in a phone interview.

He could not pick a favorite sandwich because "There are so many. They're all custom made, one at a time and everyone has fun waiting while we make them. We always have fun."

A Facebook post by Jacqueline Diehl-Padin of Oceanside, telling how she used them for catering a birthday party, says, "Not only is there food amazing their customer service is perfect! (The deli) even checked in to see how everything went today."

Seaqua Delicatessen & Caterers, 4250 Jerusalem Ave, North Massapequa:  Seaqua was mentioned numerous times to Daily Voice as a popular deli.

Located in a narrow and congested strip mall at the busy Jerusalem Avenue/Hicksville Road intersection you might wait for a parking spot here, but wait. The sandwiches are thick, one-of-a-kind and a complete meal. Brothers Ted and Mitch Tetenbaum of Seaford told Daily Voice their favorites.

Ted said, "Three eggs, roast beef, home fries, and cheese" and Mitch said "two eggs on a roll or the Steak Tidbit Sandwich on a brioche roll."

John Moore's Deli & Caterers, 2687 Merrick Road, Bellmore: The traditional deli menu of hot food,  specialty sandwiches, paninis, soups and wraps of the day includes a special barbeque catering menu.

Bellmore resident Tina Rizzi Baron talked about it on Facebook.

"I would give more stars if I could but the max is five!! John Moore's catered a BBQ for 80 people in our yard last night and it was awesome!! Morgan and Juan manned the grill (in the heat!) and the food was amazing," her post says.

Jim's Delicatessen,  Uniondale:‎ Gleaming counters, football mural on a wall and plenty of eye-catching pictures online of hungry man type heroes look savory and delicious.

Reviews also wax nostalgic about Jim's.

Carlos Lopez said, "When I moved to Uniondale back in 1992, the deli was on the corner in a very small location, but with very unique signs with details telling the customers the names of gastronomic delights! I loved the breakfast heroes! Simply delicious!"

Camille Livermore of Uniondale posted that she went in recently for a breakfast sandwich and noted "original owners" in a Hey Long Island...Do U Remember...? post.

My Hero, Merrick, 1005 Jerusalem Ave., North Merrick: The green painted ceiling, paneled walls, and checked tablecloths add to a traditional experience here. Imagine having a custom sandwich like grilled chicken and sausages with broccoli rabe and mozzarella, someone posted in a Facebook picture.

In a June 1 post on the deli's Facebook page, Massapequa resident Dominick Artale said, "Always a pleasure! Food is always great!"

And Bayville resident Theresa O'Connell told Daily Voice, "Love it. I like their heroes for parties, Italian, American or chicken, roasted red pepper and mozzarella."
