Call them Ishmael? Whales were caught on camera near the South Shore of Long Island, dining off the eels and floating about approximately a half mile off the coast in the Moriches Inlet. Bobcat Enters Residence After Attacking Dog In Area
A bobcat ran inside an area home after it attacked a family dog, causing wildlife officials to euthanize the animal. The incident took place in Pleasant Valley around 6:55 a.m. early Sunday, June 23, when Dutchess County Sheriff's deputies responded to the home at 1263 Salt Point Turnpike for a report of a bobcat inside a residence, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Capt. There have been several new coyote sightings in Westchester, prompting concern for area residents. A Larchmont resident reported that there were two sightings on Woodlawn Avenue in Larchmont and London Terrace in New Rochelle on Tuesday, April 11. There was a real "wildlife" treat when a harp seal decided to sun itself for several hours on the Long Island Sound in Fairfield County. A Westchester homeowner was not having a hoot this week when an owl came crashing through her kitchen window, sending glass flying. Police said that officers responded to a Pines Bridge Road home in Bedford, when they received a call that a barred owl had made a crash landing in a kitchen sink.
