Dozens Of Mopeds, Motorcycles Impounded During Enforcement Detail In Westchester A crackdown on the reckless operation of mopeds and motorcycles in Westchester resulted in police impounding dozens of vehicles and apprehending a man caught dangerously speeding during rush hour, authorities announced.  The targeted enforcement detail was conducted over three hours by Yonkers Police, which ended up impounding nearly 30 mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles, the department said on Friday, Oct. 11.  According to the department, the vehicles were taken off the road for reasons such as registration and equipment violations and reckless driving.
