Officers from the Westchester County Police Department were dispatched to Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue in Mount Kisco shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, where there was a report of a shoplifting incident.
Investigators said that they were able to track down the suspect, Spring Street resident Adan Gregorio-Melendrez, who was in possession of stolen beer that he had not paid for.
Gregorio-Melendrez was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Mount Kisco Justice Court on Feb. 7 to respond to the charges.
