Window Smashed, Property Damaged At Coffee Shop In Westchester: 'NOT Okay' Authorities are searching for those responsible for breaking into a Northern Westchester coffee shop and damaging property.  The break-in happened on Thursday, April 4 at around 11 p.m., when a window was smashed at The Farmer's Grind and Copia in South Salem at 475 Smith Ridge Rd.  According to the owners, whoever broke into the building damaged personal property. Background Checks analyzed the most recent FBI crime report and put together this resource, which shows that New York has an overall crime rate at less than half that of the country's.
