Mount Vernon Soccer Player Named To Div. III All-Region Team

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Kurreem Williams, a Mount Vernon native and senior at the SUNY Institute of Technology at Rome/Utica, has been named to the Division III All-Region East Team for men's soccer.

After a quiet first two years following his transfer to SUNYIT from TCI, by comparison, Williams had a breakout senior year.

The powerful 6-foot-1 midfielder won the game between the penalty boxes for the Wildcats in 2013, earning his first selection to the NEAC All-Conference Team and an All-Region Second Team distinction on Monday.

Williams netted four goals to go with two assists in 17 games played.
