On Thursday, Simone Development Company announced that it had acquired the 12,500-square-foot property at 120 E. Sandford Blvd. that contractors redeveloped into a “ground up retail center” in a multi-million dollar transformation.
The location was previously acquired in 2012 before it was redeveloped. According to Simone Development’s President Joseph Simone, the company recently reached total occupancy when they agreed to leases with Advance Auto Parts and a dialysis and kidney healthcare provider.
“This property was previously an underutilized eyesore. Simone Development’s acquisition and redevelopment proved immediately attractive to tenants and was fully leased in less than 18 months from completion,” Simone said in a statement announcing the agreement. “These diverse new businesses have created quality jobs in the area and are providing greatly needed services to the Mount Vernon community.”
