Early-Morning Fire Damages Bergen County Bagel Shop, Neighboring Business A worker opening a Bergen County bagel shop was met with heavy smoke early Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, leading to a fire response that drew about 35 firefighters, officials said. The worker at Hot Bagel on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn called 911 at 3:23 a.m. after discovering the smoke, Fair Lawn Fire Department Public Information Officer Douglas Sadowski said.
